Selection Corner – Week 11 NFL Picks

A bad bounce here or there left us at 2-2 last week, although we continue to be historically good on our Monday Night Football audio pick of the week (hit the play button on the ride side of the home page on Mondays) where we are 8-2-1! That said, I like our NFL betting options here for Week 11. Let’s make some money, folks.

2017 Week 11 NFL Picks

Detroit Lions (-3) at Chicago Bears

Everything says that the Lions are the play here. They score points and are playing a Bears team that got spanked at home last week by Green Bay. But here’s where the gut feeling takes over. The Lions simply cannot run the ball, which doesn’t bode well for late season road matchups outside. Chicago isn’t great but they’ve played hard this season, and yes, they can run the ball. Take the home underdog and the Bears.

Los Angeles Rams at Minnesota Vikings (-2)

Kase Keenum had four touchdown passes last week and everyone now assumes that he’s their QB to lead them into the playoffs. But it’s Kase Keenum. We’ve seen him stink it up for years. Has he really 100% figured it out to the point that he is a fearsome thrower? I’m not buying it. The Rams are a juggernaut on both sides of the ball right now. They’ve played some soft opponents lately and have probably been chomping it at the bit for a real challenge. Take the points and L.A.

Washington Redskins at New Orleans Saints (-7.5)

The Saints are for real, people. I repeat, the Saints are for real. No more expecting their D to implode each week. I am fully on the bandwagon now. They’re winning games by stuffing the opponents and by running the ball. Can you imagine? Oh, and they still have Drew Brees. This one’s in the dome. Give me the team from the Big Easy.

New England Patriots (-6.5) at Oakland Raiders

I expect the defending champs to win this game. But I think it’ll be a lot closer than the spread. Oakland is at home and coming off a bye week. New England played Sunday night. Plus, the Pats are no longer being pushed in the division anymore with consecutive losses by both Buffalo and Miami. The Raiders HAVE to win this game to save their season. So I expect this one to be close. For that reason I am taking Oakland and the points.

Last Week: 2-2
Season: 22-18
