Okay Texans, this is your last chance to stay in the race for AFC South. Don’t screw it up!
History isn’t with Houston on this one though; the Colts have won SU and ATS the last 4 times they’ve met.
Indianapolis even beat the Texans already this season 33-28 in Week 6.
It’s much more likely that the Colts (9-4) will take this one and crown themselves king of AFC South.
Especially since the Texans vs Colts matchup is happening at Lucas Oil Stadium. Indianapolis never loses against Houston when they have the home field advantage.
The Texans aren’t giving up hope yet though.
They outgained and outrushed their competition in Week’s 13 and 14; they beat the Jaguars 27-13 and the Titans 45-21 the week previous.
So while Houston is still #2 to the Colts in their division, they’re only one game out. Finishing up the season on 2 home contests might be the only thing that keeps the Texans from certain playoff death.
Both teams need a win in this division rivalry, but the books are calling the Colts to pull it off as the -6.5 favourite (and 56% of bettors agree).
In order for Houston to win this one, they’re going to have to keep up their offensive momentum that’s been building the last few weeks.
The Texans weakened defense operating without Jadeveon Clowney is going to rely heavily on defensive end/jack of all trades J.J. Watt to keep the Colts super-human offense in check.
But with Luck looking to drive Indianapolis to a 2nd straight AFC South title, they’ve got a battle ahead of them.
The O/U is set at a respectable 49, but 61% are thinking that’s going to become an OVER.
That surprises me a little since 6 of Indy’s last 8 games against Houston have gone UNDER, but you never know when there’s a bit of Luck on the field.
