The Lions stormed out in Week 1 and look like a strong underdog for not just the playoffs but as a Superbowl Champion. Matthew Stafford looks less like a china doll and more like a serious QB. Suh looks less like a thug and more like a solid, mature defender.
Looking at the other side of the line, Cam Newton may not even be playing but we do know one thing. The rushing Quarterback has been figured out in the modern NFL. Kapernick and Newton can and will run but it’s no longer the surprising core of their game.
If Newton is out look for the Lions to easily take this one at +3. If Newton isn’t going to play full on I’d still say take the Lions, the Panthers won’t stand up to the Lions momentum.
