NFL Regular Season Week 16 Picks

We finally had a week in which we weren’t world beaters, it’s bound to happen. But we’re also eager to get back on the winning side with my week 16 NFL picks. No screwing around here, folks, let’s get to it. Two more regular season weeks to go and I have an itch to win.

Week 16 NFL Picks

New York Giants (-2.5) at Philadelphia Eagles

New York is ramping up for the postseason. Their defense is strong and their passing game is even stronger. Now, if they could only run the ball well they’d be Super Bowl contenders. Meanwhile, the Eagles are thinking about 2017. With a low road spread I don’t mind laying the points on the team that needs the win more. Take the G-men.

Atlanta Falcons (-3.5) at Carolina Panthers

Typically I would go with the better team, especially with the opponent coming off a short week. However, this Panthers team is playing for more than pride – they’re playing for respect. Carolina is bitterly disappointed with their season and they get a chance to stick it to a Falcons team trying to lock up a division. The Panthers have some talent and are getting points at home in a divisional grudge match. Give me Carolina.

Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans (-2)

Who in their right mind would bet on the Texans right now? They punched NFL bettors in the gut by not covering the spread last week. There’s no way we can trust them again. Add in the fact that they have a quarterback crisis and you wouldn’t think that they’d still be alive for a divisional crown. But they are. That said, the Bengals nearly upset the Steelers last week before blowing it late. Cincy has some talent and if they want their head coach to return they have to win their last two games. Give me the Bengals in what will be a slugfest. I expect A.J. Green to light it up, finally.
