NFL Regular Season Week 8 Picks

A week where no unbeaten teams are left. Yes, the Vikings finally lost. We also saw one of the worst kicker situations (probably) ever as the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals tied at 6 in OT, both kickers unable to convert. But what about this week? Saddle up, here we go with our week 8 betting picks.

NFL Week 8 Betting Picks

Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5) at Indianapolis Colts

The Chiefs are humming right along while the Colts finally came through with a hard fought win last week. Indy is terribly banged up, yet Andrew Luck has regained his swagger. Here’s the issue though; Andy Reid’s Chiefs look like they’re hitting their stride. As this spread is under a field goal, even if it’s a close game, I feel confident that Alex Smith will take care of the ball enough. Give me KC and lay the points.

Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers (-2)

Yes, we actually saw a tie last week with the Cardinals and Seahawks. Somewhere, Donovan McNabb is confused. Meanwhile, the Panthers are coming off a bye and have had two weeks to get ready for this game. The issue at hand is whether or not Carolina can stop anyone on defense. Whether they do or not, I expect a BIG game out of Cam Newton. At 1-5, this is it for the Panthers. Their last stand. Look for a 6-point Carolina win.

Minnesota Vikings (-5.5) at Chicago Bears

Jay Cutler is expected to play in this game. That doesn’t give me any football betting confidence. In fact, I’d probably prefer it if Brian Hoyer was starting. Chicago is woeful. They stink. But, Minnesota is coming off their first loss, in part because they couldn’t protect Sam Bradford. The problem is that the Bears don’t have an Eagles-like defense right now. So let’s lay some more points and take the Purple to Reign.

San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos (-6)

We saw Trevor Siemian take care of the football and let his defense win him a game on Monday night. Expect more of the same in this battle. The Chargers beat the Broncos a couple of weeks ago and so this is the revenge match. Is Philip Rivers really good enough to beat that Orange Crush D twice in a season? We’re betting not. Look for a couple of turnover and a Denver win.
