NFL Week 9 Top 10 Team Power Index

Stability. Finally. This power index features an intact top 5 teams, with a few changes lower down the list. The bottom line is that we have the same 10 teams as last week, just slightly rejigged. Let this be a challenge to the rest of the league – are you ready to mess with this big and bad top 10?

NFL Week 9 Power Index 2017

1- (1) Philadelphia Eagles – Now Jay Ajayi is in the fold. Wow, the Eagles are indeed soaring.

2- (2) Kansas City Chiefs – I was right to keep them in the top 2 even after the previous week’s loss. The Chiefs are human, but very good.

3- (3) Seattle Seahawks – The Hawks survived the Deshaun Watson onslaught, but they kept the winning streak alive.

4- (4) Pittsburgh Steelers – A bye week after the emergence of Juju Smith-Schuster. Boy, if he is for real then this team will pile up the points.

5- (5) New England Patriots – That D is starting to round into form. Look out, AFC.

6- (7) Buffalo Bills – Can you believe that the Bills are rolling? I know, it’s hard to grasp.

7- (8) Minnesota Vikings – An overseas win over the hapless Browns could have been a trap game. But it wasn’t. So let’s take the Vikes seriously, shall we?

8- (9) New Orleans Saints – Momentum. It’s on their side. What is the Saints’ ceiling? Yet to be determined.

9- (10) Atlanta Falcons – Atlanta gutted out a tough road victory. It’s just what they needed. Now more battle tested I think they get on a roll.

10- (6) Los Angeles Rams – An ill-timed bye week, since they were playing well. Let’s see if they maintain it in Week 9.

Honorable Mentions: Dallas Cowboys (Are they back? I bet they are in the top 10 next week), Carolina Panthers (Are they back? It’s starting to look like it), Tennessee Titans (Meh, we’ll leave them here for now), Jacksonville Jaguars (Let’s see how they come out of this bye week), Baltimore Ravens (Another week and another week of unpredictability from this team).
