I have to admit, I didn’t see the Chiefs taking care of business like that in Texas. Houston losing J.J. Watt aside, KC proved that they are the class of the AFC right now. Here’s what else we learned.

2017 NFL week 5 Betting Recap

-New England did what they had to do on a short week. I can’t figure out if it’s a turning point or if they are in trouble moving forward. I’m going to lean on the side of Belichick – which is good.

-The Bengals have really taken it up a notch offensively. They’ve saved the job of Marvin Lewis and have even gotten back into the divisional race conversation. Don’t sleep on them.

-The Jets are not as bad as we thought. But the Browns are way worse than we thought. So this New York win in Cleveland doesn’t mean much.

-The Panthers are picking up steam. They won’t blow away many teams and may not cover much as a favorite, but they are finding ways to win. And yes, Detroit is still pretty good, too.

-I like this Jacoby Brissett. But Andrew Luck can’t get back fast enough. Indy is hanging around until Luck is good to go. Kudos to the Niners for playing hard each week.

-No Marriota means no chance for the Titans. And Miami ain’t much better with that poor excuse for a starting QB. Where the hell is Kaepernick? How can Gase not call him?

-The Chargers won the battle of misery with the Giants, who are probably now slated to go 1-15 this year.

Arizona is a mess. The offense just isn’t the same. They’re a 7-9 team right now. The Eagles are at the start of something special with Wentz.

-We knew it. We knew the Steelers weren’t for real. As for the Jags, it’s another example of their inconsistency. One week they’re good and the next bad. So what does Week 6 bring?

-Welcome back, Joe Flacco. Where has that guy been? The Ravens are back in business and the Raiders are screwed.

-Seattle’s defense is that damn good, while the Rams are indeed a good team that is still finding their way. L.A. will be a 9-7 team this year, at least.

-Aaron Rodgers is better than Dak Prescott. Period. Green Bay is now positioned for a long run of wins, and Dallas is in trouble.

Sunday Night Football

The Chiefs are simply the best in the league right now. When you get it done week in and week out, and find creative ways to win games then opponents should be scared, really scared. My condolences to Texans fans.
