Why Bet on Fernando Martinez?

Martinez is an energetic 31-year-old with a perfect record of 15-0 with 8 Ko’s. He made his pro debut in 2017 and has boxed 92 rounds since. He has decent power in his fists with a current knockout ratio of 53.3 percent but has gone the distance in three of his last four fights.

Most of his opponents were relative unknowns until meeting Ancajas when he pulled off an upset in his first fight in North America. He then repeated the feat in the rematch, also in the USA.

Why Bet on Jade Bornea

The 28-year-old Bornea also carries around a perfect record as he enters the ring with a mark of 18-0 with 12 Ko’s and has boxed 87 rounds since making his pro debut in 2014.

As a pro, he won the vacant Philippine Super Flyweight Title in 2016, the vacant IBF Youth Super Flyweight Title in 2017, the vacant Oriental Youth Super Flyweight Belt in 2018, and the North American Boxing Association Super Flyweight Crown in 2020.

Final Betting Analysis – Fernando Martinez vs. Jade Bornea

There’s no doubt that Bornea has the better boxing skills and plenty of power but Martinez is a whirlwind in the ring as he landed a division-record 421 power punches in the first meeting with Ancajas.

He’s a volume puncher supreme and that makes up for his lack of size. The Argentine is extremely aggressive in the ring and has a solid chin, but may be in a bit of trouble if the Philippine keeps his distance and tries to outbox him.

From what we’ve seen of Martinez though, we expect him to throw punches in bunches again and retain his belt.

Go for a victory for the champion at -450. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $22.22 for a total payout of $122.22.
