Why Bet on Sunny Edwards?

Sunny Edwards comes off the back of two wide decision victories last year against solid fighters in Muhammad Waseem and Felix Alvarado respectively, and will be looking to put on that same sort of clinic this weekend in his Matchroom/DAZN debut.

Edwards has just four stoppage victories in his 19 wins as a professional to date. His last eight fights have all gone the distance, with him winning every time.

The 27-year-old doesn’t carry huge knockout power in his fists, but he is without a doubt the most skillful and slick boxer at flyweight.

If he is anywhere near his best again on Saturday night, he should breeze past a fighter who is unproven and who boasts an extremely padded record.

Why Bet on Andres Campos?

Andres Campos has been a little more active than Edwards in recent months, fighting four times since the start of last year, but faces a monumental step up in competition this Saturday against the current IBF champion.

Campos isn’t known as a particularly big puncher in fights, owning a relatively low KO percentage over his career to date. However, he has stopped two of his last four opponents, both inside the first six rounds Javier Martinez and Dario Ruben Ruiz respectively.

The Javier Martinez stoppage in particular shows he does carry pop in there, stopping his rival with a crunching left hook to the body midway through the 4th round of that fight.

Final Betting Analysis – Sunny Edwards vs. Andres Campos

Sunny Edwards is arguably the most complete defensive fighter in boxing today, pulling off moves that honestly wouldn’t look out of place in a Matrix movie, and has a supreme level of understanding in both spacing and distance control as well to complement his defensive wizardry.

While the Englishman does lack the power of his own in fights, owning an even lower KO percentage than even Campos does (21.1%), he does offset this by being a technical marvel in the ring-

This technical prowess allowed him to befuddle excellent fighters such as Muhammad Waseem and effectively strolled to easy decision victories in fights as a result, with opponents finding it incredibly difficult to land clean on the fighter from South London.

It’s hard to argue with the odds, considering Edwards’s recent masterful performances in the ring, so we are picking the champion to defend the Belt.

Go for a Sunny Edwards victory on Saturday at -2500. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $4 for a total payout of $104.
