The Yuma Lions Club is teaming up with Yuma District Hospital & Clinics, local businesses, and Erik Tribelhorn to install a disc golf course on the YDH campus.

It will be located on the southeast corner of the hospital campus. Tribelhorn, who has become an avid disc golfer in recent years, and designed a course in Washington County, is designing the five-hole course.
Yuma Lions have been soliciting local businesses for sponsorships, such as presenting sponsor for the whole course, hole sponsors and hole naming naming rights.
Yuma Lions states the intention is to provide an opportunity for the community to utilize the course and enjoy the sport of disc golf. The sport has been around for decades, and Fort Morgan has had a full course at its Riverside Park for many years. However, it has seen explosive growth in recent years, and is a fun activity for all ages and abilities.
As mentioned above, the course will be five holes, each containing a concrete tee pad with a nearby tee sign, and a basket that catches the disc to complete the hole.
Work on the course will begin soon, and will continue as completed as long as the weather cooperates.
