Selection Corner – Week 13 NFL Picks

In a week where the favorites were dominant, we did alright. Going 3-1 when a wave like that sweeps over the football betting board is no small feat. In fact, of our four selections last week, we actually had one of the rare underdogs that covered (Bills). So we’re feeling confident and excited to up the season  record and dole out some winners. Let’s go.

2017 Week 13 NFL Picks

Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens (-3)

The Ravens are technically an over .500 team, but they do have some holes, particularly on the offensive line. The Lions had some issues versus the run of the Vikings last week. Baltimore doesn’t run the ball as effectively. Give me the points and Detroit.

New England Patriots (-8.5) at Buffalo Bills

Yes, the Bills are back on the winning track and yes they beat New England last year. But the Pats can essentially wrap up another division title early with a win this week. When they smell blood in the water look out. Lay the big road spread and take the Tom Bradys.

Kansas City Chiefs (-4.5) at New York Jets

The Chiefs have no business being a road favorite of this size over anyone right now. They’re reeling and everyone knows it. They admittedly can’t score points against the cover 2 defense, so expect the Jets to run a lot of it. New York fights hard each and every week for their coach. I don’t think this will be easy for KC. Give me the home underdog Jets.

New York Giants at Oakland Raiders (-6.5)

Eli Manning is benched and Geno Smith is the starter? Bleh. Oakland is back in the divisional race and Marshawn Lynch looks to be getting stronger as the season goes on. If they can play just decent defense then the Raiders should cover easily. Give me Oakland.

Last Week: 3-1

Season: 26-21-1
