We have two Stanley Cup odds matchups tonight in the NHL playoffs. One is a Game 7, the other could lead to a Game 7. With a Game 7 looming Wednesday night in Washington, we can absolutely say that this is the best time of the year for hockey action. The level of play is outstanding and the desire from the teams is off the charts. Let’s get to it.

Matchups Tonight in the NHL Playoffs

Ottawa Senators vs New York Rangers

This has been a series home team victories. Neither squad has managed to win on the road. But that doesn’t mean we haven’t had close calls. With multiple overtime games in this series we expect one more tonight. The Rangers were not good at home in the regular season, yet in the playoffs they’ve been better, going 4-1 in the first two rounds. Meanwhile, the Senators have been good on the road, so it’s surprising that they couldn’t steal a win in either Game 3 or Game 4.

I expect a close game. Since neither of these two teams have been dominant, I believe that the Rangers will push back and tie this series, forcing a Game 7 in Ottawa. Currently, the Rangers are -173 on money line betting, which may seem like a lot when you consider how close this series has been. But I just don’t see Ottawa squeaking one out here. They don’t have the experience and dominance to ensure that the series ends tonight. We’ve seen a wide fluctuation in goal-scoring in this series and tonight shouldn’t be any different. I would go over the 5 total as well.

Edmonton Oilers vs Anaheim Ducks

This series has been full value. Talk about momentum swings. Edmonton won the first two games in Anaheim. They also held a three-goal lead in Game 5 with under four minutes remaining, but blew it. However, with their season on the line, the Oilers blew out the Ducks in Game 6 to force this Game 7. That said, I like the experience and depth here. The Ducks have a better team overall and their elite players have been their best players. Meanwhile, Conor McDavid hasn’t been his team’s best player. That’s been the difference.

At only -116 on the money line give me the Ducks to win. On the goal goals line of 5.5, I just don’t have a read either way. Everyone expects a ton of goals. But I don’t. I think it’ll be tight and very tentative to start this game, which will keep goals down.

So to recap, give me the Rangers and Ducks tonight in these matchups tonight in the NHL Playoffs betting action. Enjoy the games everyone.
