It’s a mystery to us all how Atlanta can be leading the NFC South with a record of only 4-7, but hey, stranger things have happened.

Cardinals vs Falcons

Okay okay, we’ll stop hatin’ on Atlanta now, especially since they have a tough weekend ahead of them.

The Cardinals (9-2) have only lost twice so far this year, and both times it was to last year’s Super Bowl teams.

Intimidating? Just a little.

So needless to say, Arizona is the favourite at -2.5, but I’m a bit surprised that just 77% of bettors are agreeing with this.

Then again the Cardinals did have their horrendous 19-3 loss to Seattle just last week.

Arizona will have to channel their disappointment into this week’s game and amp up their offense and special teams performance to avoid underestimating Atlanta.

Stanton and the rest of the offense struggled against the Seahawks last Sunday, unable to convert third downs and passing up so many good opportunities. Fitzgerald will be back on the field this week, so hopefully he can inspire some positive change.

The Falcons got taken down in Week 12 too, but it was a far less embarrassing 2-point loss to the Browns.

They’ll have to keep one eye on Stanton and the other on Bush, Arizona’s touchdown vulture, if they want hold on to first place in NFC South.

Not to mention Calais Campbell, who will be gunning for as many sacks as humanly possible after getting called out by Arizona coach Arians for making “just” 3 against Seattle.

That’s the problem when you’re great – good just isn’t enough.

The total for #ARIvsATL is 44.5 with 57% of bettors on the UNDER this time.

Our pick:

Take Arizona to cover at -2.5
