Miami is facing The Ravens and Pats in the next two weeks, so slipping up to a 2-9 team like The Jets is not a luxury they can afford at this point.
The Jets were throttled in Week 12 by the mediocre offense of the Bills, so I’m thinking the spread is going to be easily covered this round with a team like Miami.
Dolphins are the favourite by -7 and an unsurprising 84% of betters are with them.
The much maligned Geno Smith is going to be starting for the Jets again and out to prove he’s the best choice for the job, attempting to keep Michael Vick on the bench for the remainder of the year.
I’m not sure this game is going to help him much though.
It’s hard enough when your team only lets you play again once you have no chance of getting to the playoffs, but with the boo birds ready and waiting at Meadowlands? Good luck, Geno.
And he’s going to need it considering his season: last in the NFL in passing yards per game (162) and passer rating (67.4).
With the total at 42 and 60% of bettors on the UNDER, it’s pretty clear that people will be shocked if the Jets even get 10 points on Monday.
And against Miami, the team that’s given up the second fewest yards per game in the league, they’re probably right.
