NFL Week 10 Top 10 Team Power Index

So the top team stays put, but can you really move up more than one team if they were on a bye week? The answer is yes, but only because I had no choice. I don’t yet think that the Panthers are ready for the number two slot, so a couple of bye teams get bumped up. It’s not ideal, but I do think it’s representative of the best clubs right now in the NFL.

NFL Week 10 Power Index 2017

1- (1) Philadelphia Eagles – So, that was like a big win and stuff. Wow, Philly is your new Super Bowl favorite.

2- (4) Pittsburgh Steelers – The next best team, but by default. Steeltown is riding high, but we need to see consistency. Week 10 could be a statement towards that consistency.

3- (5) New England Patriots – Not bad. Don’t play and move up two spots. The Pats do look strong, as long as Brady is healthy.

4- (2) Kansas City Chiefs – They lost to an emerging, tough team. But the Chiefs have got to be concerned with losses in three of four games.

5- (8) New Orleans Saints – Another week and another win, albeit against a bad team and its backup QB. Still, the Saints are doing what they need to do to progress.

6- (3) Seattle Seahawks – That was a tough loss at home to D.C. I’m not sure what to think of this team now. They’re supposed to be unbeatable at home.

7- (NR) Carolina Panthers – Shades of 2015. Plus, the kid McCaffrey is starting to impact games each week.

8- (10) Los Angeles Rams – Sure, it was the hapless Giants, but the Rams are on a roll. Don’t bet against them right now.

9- (8) Minnesota Vikings – Yes, I know we dropped them unfairly for being on a bye week, but of the teams ahead of them, who would you rank below them? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

10- (NR) Dallas Cowboys – Big D is back, as long as Zeke isn’t suspended. That was a statement win over K.C. Now we see if they can string some wins together.

Honorable Mentions: Buffalo Bills (That was U-G-L-Y in the Meadowlands), Atlanta Falcons (I still stupidly believe that they will turn it around. Too much talent not to), Tennessee Titans (Meh, another messy win), Jacksonville Jaguars (Yes, they are for real, but Blake Bortles, a playoff QB? Nah).
